playing tour guide

Hanging out with nick this past week was tons of fun. we def ate and drank our way around this city and i discovered my fav iphone app (nope, don't have one yet but omg is this fun) - grinder! we went to the castro monnday and tuesday night and this was amazing people watching and scenes. he gave some really goood advice and perspective on the work stuff that i am dealing with and i've realized a big part of it is attitude and that i need to adjust mine. that all being said, work wasn't as horrible this week as i was anticipating. wednesday night we went to the irish bank for happy hour and then c came into the city and my tour was side-tracked and we ended up drinking outside at one of his friends spots in fisherman's wharf, seal watching and wining/dining at cinetta which is such an adorable little wine/pizza bar in north beach. thursday iz and i went out for a few drinks after work and caught up and friday the socal crew came into town. i met them after their alcratraz tour and we headed to scoma's (um-yum!) then to ghiradelli square, lombard street, the palace of fine arts and then my apartment - they were exhausted! after a few hours of chilling, we rallied and headed to north beach for wine and italian food. yesterday we did chinatown for lunch and shops and then a trolley ride and ended up at the ferry building for a bit. after, we headed to berkeley for the md/cal opener. oh my! jul was at henry's - i cannot believe that i haven't been here before! it was a blast - crowded and i met some fairly nice people but will def head back here for game days (whether i make it in for the game or not is another story). unfortunately, maryland lost pretty bad but we still had a great time. today we are in search of cupcakes (cakeity cake)...and headed out to the east bay to see the fam later this afternoon.
i got a good amount of packing done yesterday- leave in 5 days@! a might be there which would be interesting...kris flew out last week and said it's gorgeous and they are having a great time.
