Another weekend has rushed by and I can't help wondering where it went and why I can't work 4 day weeks...that would just be ideal. I spent the day out in the East Bay - took the BART out tihs morning and went to brunch with Julia, her parents and their group of friends at this fun Mexican spot in downtown Concord. Nothing says Easter morning like bloody marys, chips and salsa and burritos - ha! Uncle Bud picked me up and then we went over to Mickey's for the afternoon. It was great to see everyone, eat and visit. Now I am pretty much exhausted, planted on the couch catching bits and pieces of The Sound of Music (I forgot how truly wonderful this movie is)
I booked a trip back east for the beginning of May. I am so looking forward to it - I am craving being around my sisters, mom, dad, Joanne, Chrissy, Morgan, Carter and the whole crew.
Work has been fairly annoying and a bit ridiculous lately.
I think we are going to start a book club- I am such a dork but am way looking forward to this.
I received a package in the mail from Rosie last week. I couldn't open it right away... I don't know why but the box just sat in my room for days until yesterday afternoon when I opened it on the kitchen floor. It is Jon's black lady Jesus framed picture. I was hoping that it would smell like him as ridiculous as that sounds. Easter was always a special time of year for us (especially considering he didn't believe in it). He would laugh about rabbits laying eggs and I think it was around Easter 2005 when our relationshipg started getting pretty serious. The moon woke me last night - it was so bright and shining right in my room. I will always think of JMA when I see it.
Okay, I must think about falling into bed soon.
